CALL FOR PAPERS, WORKSHOPS & CONTRIBUTIONS
Submission Window: January, 16 – March, 19 | 2024
We welcome submissions on a diverse range of topics that contribute to the theory and practice of System Dynamics modeling.
This year’s conference theme, “Bridging Perspectives for New Insights,” underscores the importance of integrating varied disciplines and methodologies to achieve deeper understanding and effective solutions.
We encourage submissions contributing to System Dynamics, broadly defined. This includes work that emphasizes feedback mechanisms, long-term accumulations, and behaviorally realistic views of actors, as well as relevant methodological contributions. We welcome different modeling architectures such as stocks and flows, agent-based models, and qualitative maps, as well as various analytical tools, data sources, and diagramming conventions.
Synergies abound between behaviorally realistic and feedback based perspective of System Dynamics with advancements in adjacent fields, from network science to epidemiology, operations research, econometrics, and others. By leveraging those synergies we hope to enhance theoretical and practical discourse in social, medical, and engineering sciences, leading to more impactful and sustainable theoretical insights and practical solutions. We also hope the event will foster sharing of perspectives, discovery of new synergies, and fruitful new collaborations.
Submissions are categorized into several types: Research Papers (full paper required), Practitioner Applications (slides only), and Works in Progress (extended abstracts only).
