Give Thanks For Scrum

Join us on Tuesday November 26, 2024 In-Person at Microsoft in Burlington, MA for Agile Boston’s 16th Annual Give Thanks For Scrum event.

    CHANGE. It’s the constant.

Scrum became a thing around 1996. That was over 30 years ago. Scrum pre-dated the Agile Manifesto, which was created on 2001.

That was a long, long time ago.

In the present day the Scrum framework is well-understood, and now is in the late stages of its own development.

Lately, people in ‘agile’ roles are reporting some very big changes. What are these changes?

    1. Employees in agile roles are being laid off by large companies

    2. Consultants & coaches are reporting big problems finding steady engagements

    3. “Agile” is being subsumed into the Product function in large companies

    4. Millions of “agile is dead” essays are appearing everywhere. Take a look here: https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ftsa&q=agile+dead&ia=web)

Register now and hear keynote and plenary sessions from:

    • DR. JEFF SUTHERLAND: co-creator of Scrum and the founder of SCRUM INC
    • DAVID WEST: Chief Executive Officer of SCRUM.ORG

You may not know that Scrum was born in Boston and thus it is very appropriate that our local community tackle what the future of Scrum is, with the co-creator of Scrum Dr. Jeff Sutherland and the CEO of Scrum.org, a company founded by co-creator of Scrum Ken Schwaber, Dave West.
