Visual Facilitation in Scrum: International Sketchnote Camp 2025

🔥𝐈 𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬. 𝐁𝐮𝐭 𝐈’𝐦 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝. 𝐃𝐎 𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃!🔥

𝐏𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬: you’re sitting at a conference, around 100 people in the room. Suddenly someone says:

👉 ‘If you’ve never done live graphic recording and want to try – raise your hand. This is your chance!’

Before I could weigh the pros and cons…✋ my hand was already up.
I mean, there would still be time to back out… right? RIGHT?

    𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐭𝐚𝐬𝐤?

Graphic recording a keynote speaker – listening and simultaneously translating the message into a visual story.

    𝐖𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝?

    Maybe a little.
But mostly – I was EXCITED (afterall the symptoms are the same).
I couldn’t stop smiling. It felt like a dream come true – doing something I truly love.

    𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭?

𝐖𝐚𝐲 𝐛𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐣𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠! Not just because of the final visual – but because of what it sparked:
❄️ a snowball effect of motivation
🎯 a clear direction – to keep going
🎨 a vision – to connect the future with the world of visuals.

Thank you, Andy Gray, Pardeep (aka Paddy) Dhanda, Grant Wright, The Visual Jam for this unique opportunity to shift my perspective, step into the shoes of a graphic recorder, and for your invaluable guidance !!

    This is just the beginning!
